PNS Hafeez Hospital
PNS Hafeez Hospital is the Pakistan Navy’s premier medical facility in the federal capital. Located in the heart of Islamabad’s E-8 sector, the hospital has been serving naval personnel, their families, and authorized civilians with distinction for over five decades.
What began as a modest 25-bed sick bay within Naval Headquarters in March 1974 has evolved through decades of expansion and modernization into a fully equipped 250-bed tertiary care hospital. The facility was upgraded to a Naval Medical Center with 50 beds in June 1976, before being formally commissioned as PNS Hafeez on 24 March 1986 with 150 beds.
Progressive upgrades in 2008 and 2020 expanded the hospital’s capacity to 197 and then 250 beds respectively, adding new departments, advanced diagnostic equipment, and enhanced surgical facilities. Today, PNS Hafeez houses over 20 specialized departments, including Medicine, Surgery, Cardiology, Neurology, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, and a 24/7 Emergency & Trauma Centre.
Accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) for postgraduate medical training, PNS Hafeez is committed to both patient care and the advancement of military medicine.
